THIS MONTH'S ISSUE OF THE LADDER IS DEVOTED TO THE FINDINGS OF THE RESEARCH COMMITTEE OF THE DAUGHTERS OF BILITIS AN EXTENSION OF THE SURVEY CONDUCTED ON THE LESBIAN AND REPORTED IN THE SEPTEMBER, 1959 ISSUE OF THE LADDER. THE SAME QUESTIONNAIRE WAS CIRCULATED AMONG MALE HOMOSEXUALS AND COMPARISONS DRAWN BETWEEN THE MALE AND THE FEMALE HOMOSEXUAL. MUCH CREDIT IS DUE THE MEMBERS OF THE DOB RESEARCH COMMITTEE AS WELL AS TO THE MATTACHINE SOCIETY AND ONE, INC., WHO HELPED TO PROVIDE MALE SUBJECTS. FLORENCE CONRAD, CHAIRMAN OF THE DOB RESEARCH COMMITTEE, PREPARED THE ANALYSIS AND WROTE THE TEXT. COMMENTS ON THIS ISSUE AND SUGGESTIONS FOR FURTHER RESEARCH WILL BE WELCOME.
